CORPS DU CORPSE
The idea of recycling is nothing new to the Undead, they do it all the time. And in few places more so than in the Corps du Corpse. This branch of the Dark Czar’s military is based in Moskova and governs the assigning and ‘recruitment’ of Engineers, Sappers and also Exploring Officers and guides not only from among the Vampyre nobles and other mortal races in the Witchlands but from the corpses of dead enemies of those skill sets. Many of these Undead workers come from the Imperial Academie in Lyonesse making them proficient if now disloyal servants of a new master. Dependent on the season, the Corps supplies specialists as they are needed. All Engineers in the Corps are Vampyres and the Sappers are equally split among Ghouls and Savant Zombies. There are several Gargoyle Exploring Officers of note too. The uniform of the Corps du Corpse by some sick joke is the same as the Armorican Imperial one. It is as follows. Bottle green tunic with white breeches and black boots, turnbacks with cuffs and collars are red. Straps are white with officers and sergeants wearing a burnished steel breastplate to mark their status. Engineers in the Corps have a more elaborate uniform based on the same colours but with additional gold braiding and a cloak of purple to show their rank.
